Ex Nihilo Merlot 2016

Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThe nose has an unexpected beguiling, medicinal, red/black fruit aroma with a savoury undertone. The attack is more the Ex Nihilo we know, rich and round with big sweet, California-like stylings. The dense, rich fruit grown on the Black Sage Bench is aged 20 months in a mix of French and American oak. The palate is brimming with minty, cherry, blackcurrant, blackberry fruit laced with spice. This will need a few years to age but you could drink it now with lamb osso buco or slow cooked pork dishes.Tasted: 10 October 2018Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Treve RingPrices:
