Bench 1775 Post Modern Chardonnay 2014

Naramata Bench, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaFrom 6-12 year old Naramata Bench vines, this was native fermented and mostly aged in stainless, with 15 percent in oak barrel, for six months. Summer corn, lees, tight lemon lace on a bed of lemon curd, this is a medium bodied white, tasting quite complete though the wood pops out a wee bit. The 2014 is a current release because winemaker / viticulturist Val Tait believes her wines are best expressed with some bottle age. It's a good opportunity to taste a fresh, maturing style.Tasted: 13 October 2018Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
