8th Generation Vineyard Pinot Noir 2016
British Columbia, CanadaFrom the winery's estate Summerland vineyard, this is the 667 clone, fermented on the skins, before one year in old and new French oak. Dark raspberry, dark cocoa, ripe forest berries and ample truffles on a sultry, shaded, softer palate win fine-grained tannins and buoyed by a swell of acidity. Star anise tickles the finish. Impressively managed for a richer style pinot that will continue to mellow and complex with time. Serve with duck breast or coq au vin made with pinot noir.Tasted: 11 October 2018Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:BC | $23.49 | 750ml | winery direct or private wine stores |
