Monte Creek Ranch Reserve Chardonnay 2016
British Columbia, CanadaA mostly oaked age chardonnay in variously aged barrels, including 20 percent new. The nose is floral with buttery, smoky notes and an odd chardonnay passion fruit note. The fruit is rich, intense and peachy with a touch of vanilla and caramel. The components are all here, but it's unknit and awkward at the moment. Give it some time in the bottle to gather itself.
