Kitsch Dry Riesling 2016

Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThis is a single vineyard riesling, planted in 2013, whole cluster pressed with 10 percent going into neutral oak barrels for native fermentation and the remainder in stainless, where the wine remained for a couple of months on lees. Tight and lean, with herbal citrus, meadow grass, green apple, sour lemon, white peach, driving lime and pixellated stoney mineralogy. This youthful, nervy little number appreciates some airtime so best to open a bit in advance and let breathe, or hold for a year or two and allow some honeyed notes to creep in.Tasted: 25 July 2018Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
