Blue Grouse Quill Off Dry White 2017
CanadaA lush garden of florals, this year's Off Dry White (needs a better name folks) is a winning blend of schonburger, gewürztraminer and siegerrebe from both Comox and Cowichan Valleys, on Vancouver Island. Highly floral, with perfumed white blossoms, crystalline lemon, pear nectar, apricot and starfruit filling a slight (12 degrees), lighter, linear and amply off-dry palate (21 g/l RS). I'd like to see this celebrate its off-dry, bright and pretty nature with a better name (did I mention that already?) because it's a well blended, lovely example of the style.
