Black Hills Tempranillo 2016
Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaA wine club / wine experience centre exclusive, and the winery's second vintage of this this rarely-in-BC-spotted tempranillo carries perfumed blueberry, cassis, wild blackberry and sweet salami across a fuller palate, one that is kept buoyant by acidity and afloat by impressively lower alcohol (13.1 degrees) to a lingering charred black pepper spice. Tannins are silken soft, gripped with a slight tug of spice and wood (only 2, 3, 4-year wood used here). Smart, well-controlled, and easy to enjoy now or over the next couple of years.Tasted: 26 July 2018Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:BC | $59.90 | 750ml | winery direct |
