El Esteco Fincas Notables Tannat Cuartel 28 2013
Calchaqui Valley, Salta, North, ArgentinaIt’s easy to look at tannat as a rustic, tannic red, especially if your experience is decades old, but this full-bodied high-altitude red is anything but. The fruit is bright and clean, the acidity bright, and centred all with a floral, stony, almost creamy finish. It’s attractive to say the least. Finca Las Mercedes plot 28 was planted in 1993 and these vines are just beginning to sing. Any favourite grilled meat or stew works, but it has enough grace to work with pork or chicken as well.Tasted: 04 June 2018Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:BC | $31.99 | 750ml | BCLS |
