Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThis light and lively, slightly sper…itzy wine is a 50/50 blend of the obscure perle of csaba grape, and slightly more familiar bacchus. Anne Sperling, one of Canada's most famous winemakers, makes this from the biodynamically-farmed, limestone-laced Kelowna land that her grandparents settled more than 150 years ago. You can think of this as a local spin on northern Italy's Moscato d'Asti. Mid-sweet and light (only 7.9 degrees alcohol), this is all fragrant roses, perfumed honeycrisp apple, pink grapefruit and gingerale. Acidity is grapefruit laced and ample to keep this sweetie lively.
