Santa Margherita Still Rose 2017
Trentino- Alto-Adige, ItalyThis is a brand new wine from a well-known winery, and in a bottle shape many of you will recognize from their Rosé fizz. This, however, is still, pale orange-peach hue, and pretty much dry, with orange, pear butter, raspberry and a fine riff of spice on the medium bodied (13 degrees) palate. Groppello, barbera, sangiovese and marzemino from Lake Garda is partially crushed and partially macerated, with the two parts fermented and aged separately in stainless for a few months on lees before the final blend.
