Moraine Riesling 2016

Naramata Bench, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaMoraine’s ‘16 Riesling is entirely Naramata Bench fruit, of which nearly half is estate grown clone 49. It’s all whole-bunch-pressed and wild fermented in three batches over 4 weeks, 6 weeks and 9 weeks at very cool temperatures (under 13C). What can I say? This is delicious wine with the perfect tension between fruit sugars and acidity. It is fresh, floral, mineral, ethereal and… very unordinary. Best with a favourite chicken or pork curry.
