Jura, FranceThis bottle of Crémant Rosé is entirely from 2016, and centered on poulsard and trousseau, followed by smaller parts pinot noir, chardonnay, and savagnin. This aged for one year on lees in bottle, with a disgorgement in April 2018 with 6 g/L RS. Pouring a peach hue, this crémant is bright and grippy with red currants, strawberry, red apple blossoms on a floral palate, finishing with a stony raspy grip. Acidity is high, easily lofting the fragrant fruit through the finish. A friendly, interesting rosé crémant for drinking now.Tasted: 19 July 2021Tasted by: Prices:

Jura, FranceDomaine Rolet is run by four siblings: Pierre and Elaine, plus winemaker Guy and vineyard manager Bernard. Together they sustainably farm prime old vine vineyards in Arbois, Côtes du Jura and L’Étoile. This is a blend of pinot noir and poulsard, from 30+ year old vines, growing on gray marl up to 380m. This was native fermented and saignée method, fermented and aged in tank before spending 40+ months on the lees. This fine fizz is a creamy pink/orange hue, with red currant, pommegranate, brisk cherry, streaming down a tight line to a salted, snappy finish.Tasted: 28 May 2018Tasted by: Prices:
