Belle Glos Pinot Noir Blanc Oeil de Perdrix 2016

Sonoma County, California, United StatesThis Sonoma pinot was specifically planted and picked for rosé. The Wagners aren't new to the game; they've been making pinot noir into delicate-hued rosé like this for 40 years. Partial ferment in French oak barrels adds richness and toasty spice to the full bodied, glycerol-bedded fruit. Orange blossoms scents strawberry jam, creamsicle, crystallized violets, candied citrus with a bump of sweetness and an expansiveness to the palate. After the sweetness, the finish is bitter petal, blunted and short, and best remedied with a brisk chill.Tasted: 26 April 2018Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
