Vaglio Aggie Malbec 2013
Tupungato, Valle de Uco, Tunuyán, Central Region, Mendoza, ArgentinaThis is all Gualtallary fruit grown at an average 1,270 metres above sea level that’s hand harvested and double sorted. The fruit is macerated from 25-40 days and is aged in 40 percent new French oak. This is bright, red and black fruited, with fine, stony, floral, minerality and bright acidity throughout – very Gualtallary. The tannins are mountain firm but it’s all in balance. The finish has a lick of chocolate/butterscotch from the oak which needs to disappear. A fine effort nonetheless. and perfect with grilled beef.Tasted: 13 March 2018Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:BC | $23.49 | 750ml | estimated retail |
