Penner-Ash Pinot Noir 2015

Willamette Valley, Oregon, United StatesJackson Family Wines purchased the Penner-Ash winery (Lynn and Ron Penner-Ash) in 2016 and immediately did what they do with all their small estate purchases, nothing, other than making extra resources available where needed. In this case JFW brought Zena Crown and Gran Moraine to the party adding even more diversity to the mix of fruit that was coming off 13 other separate lots. This wine is deliciously Oregon, maybe a little more bitter than need be but all in all a very attractive juicy fruity affair with the right amount of oak, now only 300 days in 29 percent new French oak. The wine is surprisingly dark but the fruit fresh and plummy with just a hint of brown spice. It was warm year but it seems to have handle it all well. Ready to drink now or over the next three to four years.Tasted: 19 March 2018Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
