Kendall-Jackson Jackson Estate Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2014

Alexander Valley, Sonoma County, California, United StatesTen months down the road, this wine remains amazingly approachable especially with a juicy T-Bone steak, Portobello mushrooms, or a grilled lamb chop but there is no rush here, in fact I’m more sure than ever it is going to get even better in the bottle if properly cellared through 2024. Jackson Estate wines are all about the company’s top estates situated on hillsides, raised benchland and even mountain tops. The Alexander Valley AVA (1984) is home to this cabernet (and a little petit verdot) that is a mix of six vineyards. It has all the hallmarks of a rich red wine: blackberries, black currant, cassis and tannins. It's aged for 19 months in an 83/17 ratio of French to American oak with only 31 percent new barrels.Tasted: 02 February 2019Tasted by: Prices: BC 49.99 private wine shops AB 89.95 private wine shops Producer: Kendall-Jackson Vineyards and WineryDistributors: Summit Fine Wines
