Hugging Tree Telltale 2012

Similkameen Valley, British Columbia, CanadaDense black fruits, smoked branch, pitch, and firm, sticky tannins in this compact, full bodied Bordeaux Blend from the Similkameen Valley. Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc are expressed on a cushy, plush palate, dense with sun-ripened fruit and smokey, toasty oak. The finish lingers with a savoury cedar note and a gentle warmth, welcoming lamb or game to match. Walter and Cristine Makepeace have been rooted in the Similkameen since 2005 at the Cawston apple and peach orchard they purchased as they were winding down their careers with the RCMP. Over the decade that followed, and together with their three children, they began a small estate winery, currently spread across 8 hectares of their property, and with future plantings planned.Tasted: 09 March 2018Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
