Chateau Smith Cabernet Sauvignon 2015
Columbia Valley, Washington, United StatesThe fruit comers off vineyards across Washington’s Columbia Valley including Rattlesnake Mountains, Wahluke Slope, and Roza Hills. The 2015 growing season was warm and is reflected in the wine. The mix is 97/2/1 cabernet sauvignon, petit verdot and cabernet franc aged for 10 months in 40 percent new French oak. This is modern American cabernet sauvignon, stuffing in with a soft, round, chocolate cherry demeanour and a sweet palate that finishes a bit short, pasty and drying. Commercial at best.Tasted: 16 March 2018Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Treve RingPrices:BC | $18.00 | 750ml | private wine shops |
