Boom Boom Syrah 2015
Columbia Valley, Washington, United StatesBoom Boom is turning drier with each succeeding year, but still remains a very ripe fruit bomb. Charles Smith is the master of marketing, but somehow Boom Boom seems a bit of overkill and over sell for a Columbia Valley red that has real syrah character, mixing savoury Northwest notes with meaty licorice, ripe blackberry, black pepper and black cherry jam. This is mouth filling and lush, soft and round, making it even more attractive to its target niche.
