Toro, Castilla-Leon, SpainDistinct packaging marks this distinctive, small lot Matsu line from Vintae. This is 50-70-year-old biodynamically farmed tempranillo vines from the scrabby, poor soils of Toro, fermented in concrete before aging for six weeks in new French oak. Gritty, grippy in youth, with compact black cherry, earthy anise, and a juicy, pure, wild blackberry core to a salt wash finish.
