Russian River, Sonoma County, California, United StatesLa Crema is a well known and highly respected brand in the wine business but it was a real pleasure to taste one of its most treasured estate vineyards, Kelli Ann, a site a mere stone’s throw away from the meandering Russian River. There so much definition to this chardonnay, awash in an intense pear, nectarine and apple nose and a palate with a dusting of spice. Rich but fresh, with sweet lemon and citrus in the finish.
