Gérard Bertrand Ballerine Brut Étoile Rosé NV

Vin de Pays d'Oc, Languedoc, South of France, FranceA year down the road, the next reiteration of Ballerine continues to strike all the right notes, from its colour and styling to its grace on the palate. Gérard Bertrand is all about the details, as evidenced by the shape of the label that mirrors a ballet shoe, further conforming to the image of this sparkling rosé. Its origin is Limoux, home to the first sparkling wines created at Saint-Hilaire Abbey in 1531. It is a place where freshness and tension abound, making it a perfect home for rosé. Bertrand likes to compare the delicacy, lightness, and tension in this wine to a prima ballerina, hence its moniker. I agree and remain impressed by the fresh red fruit and brioche notes, delivered all with a touch of electricity.Tasted: 19 October 2019Tasted by: Prices: BC 50.00 estimated retail Producer: Gérard BertrandDistributors: Pacific Wine & Spirits Inc.
