Noble Ridge The Wild One Sparkling 2013

Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaNoble Ridge is a small estate producer in Okanagan Falls where everything is done by hand. In 2013, as they like to say, “things got a little wild” when the winery went artisanal with wild ferments. Naturally there is a little less consistency, bottle to bottle, but then that’s what living on the wild side is all about. What you will find is a fresh nose, reminiscent of fresh cut green apples and assorted orchard fruits drizzled in citrus with a saline, mineral, seawater finish. It’s been 39 months en tirage. Oysters on the half shell would be a fine match, as well as creamy seafood dishes. The blend is 77/23 chardonnay/pinot noir. Only 95 cases produced. Impressive start.Tasted: 01 December 2017Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
