Champagne Moët and Chandon Ice Impérial NV

Champagne, FranceIce cubes in your Champagne? Mais non! Unless, of course, it's Moet Ice, which was engeneered to be served with ice (or upgrade to this recommended mixed drink of 3 Ice Cubes in a large red wine glass with your choice of mint leaves, lime or white grapefruit zest, cucumber peel, a very thin slice of ginger, cardamom seeds and fresh red fruits like strawberries or raspberries). Aimed at the nightclub young, monied, and pretty crowd, Ice is primarily pinot noir at 40-50 percent, with 30-40 percent pinot meunier and 10-20 percent chardonnay. 20-30 percent reserve wines give it some depth, and 45 g/l after dosage gives it a heap of sweet, gooey fruit. Ripe yellow apple, sweet dough, gingerale spicing on a juicy palate. I tried the ice cubes (sans other ingredients) and I reckon it helps cut the sweetness around the edges. Serve well chilled. Nightclub a recommended pairing.Tasted: 09 December 2017Tasted by: Treve Ring & Anthony GismondiPrices:
