Moon Curser Carmenere 2015

Osoyoos, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaA warm year has not affected the freshness of this wine, now firmly ensconced in the Moon Cursor lineup. The fruit comes off the Home and Stubbs Vineyard, both located on the Osoyoos East Bench, which was baked in 2015. It was picked ripe at 24.1 Brix. It’s barrel-aged in 225L French oak barriques with about one quarter new. The nose is the most expressive yet with peppery, sweet cherry notes mixed with tobacco and flecks of chocolate. The palate is similar with rich black fruits, light-ish tannin and a wash of Okanagan garrigue. Best with grilled meat and or even duck confit.Tasted: 04 December 2017Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
