Champagne Vollereaux Blanc de Blancs Brut NV
Champagne, FranceNow six generations into a family that has been growing grapes in Pierry and Moussy since 1805, with Franck Vollereaux now in charge. Uncharacteristic for a Bdb, this is quite assertive and bold, with a distinct resinous lime-mint note that runs the supple, full palate. There's a firm rasp of acidity that grips the sides and draws everything to the finish, and a generous amount of reserve wines which add to the density. This spent three years on the lees and has a dosage of 9 g/l.Tasted: 09 December 2017Tasted by: Treve Ring & Anthony GismondiPrices:BC | $45.99 | 750ml | private wine shops |
