Stanners Vineyard Barrel Select Pinot Noir 2014
Prince Edward County, Ontario, CanadaYouthful and brash at this point, the Barrel Select benefits from a decant and some air time. Otherwise, it starts off assertive and overt, with sour cherry, moss, forest, wet wood on a lightly smoked framework. Give it air, and that youthful assertiveness calms a little, revealing silky cherry and raspberry fruit, cinnamon and cloves, over river stones.
