Sperling Pinot Noir Rosé 2016
East Kelowna Slopes, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaA darker rosy hue, typical of many Spanish rosados, but this is not garnacha or the sun-drenched plains of Spain, but rather pinot noir from the northern Okanagan and Sperling Vineyards' Mission District estate. A 24-30 hour soak provides the intensity of colour and berry fruit: cherry, raspberry, on a juicy palate, streaming over river stones to a snappy finish. The time on skins gives a depth and weight, but this is bone dry and breezy at 11.5 percent alcohol.Tasted: 30 October 2017Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:BC | $20.00 | 750ml | private wine shops |
