Leitz Out Riesling Trocken 2015
Rheingau, GermanyThis riesling is modern from the (light's out) film noir label "A super-sassy Riesling Spectacular" to the style - generous and direct and welcoming, typical of the upper Rheingau, but nipped into a tight 12 degree form. In addition to a memorable label moniker, it's a device for remembering how to pronounce the Leitz' name. Fermented and aged in stainless, this preserves the bright pear, candied lemon, juicy peach fruit, all bedded with nougat, light honeysuckle and wet stones through to a short and snappy, crystalline orange finish.
