Kessler Hochgewächs Chardonnay Brut NV
GermanyKessler is Germany's oldest sparkling wine cellar, and Hochgewächs is their top tier wine. This traditional method chardonnay (noted by the flaschengärung) spent 20 months on the lees and has been given a dosage of 11 g/l. Yellow apple, quince and pear mark the sharp, tight and searing palate, one that shows some plastic sweetness to a stony riff along the finish.
