Naramata Bench, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaFortified petit verdot, what a clever idea. The late ripening grape seldom shows its best except in warm years; enter 2014 in the Okanagan Valley. The winery describes this wine as having essences of lost inhibitions on a bear skin rug that will make you second guess that long walk home. A bit racy but seriously this bottle deserves more of your attention if you are a fan ruby/vintage character port. Plums raisins and spice come together with a dollop of alcohol to make this savoury, fortified red come to life.
