Jean-Maurice Raffault Chinon Rouge 2016

Chinon, Touraine, Loire, FranceThere’s no denying the Loire style of cabernet franc, with its intense, fragrant, leafy, red fruit notes. In 2016 Raffault presents another tasty version, albeit more classic than the 2015. The elevated acidity and briary thorny notes are back to balance off the intense raspberries and cherry fruit that dominates the palate. A pepper steak is the ticket here, or lay this one away for three years. Good value.Tasted: 16 August 2017Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
