Tinhorn Creek Oldfield Reserve Rosé 2016

Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaFull, rich and ripe strawberry and candied raspberry on this glycerol-slicked rosé, part of the Oldfield Series. Nineteen year old cabernet franc from Black Sage Bench's Diamondback Vineyard gains the deeper peach hue with 12 hours of skin contact before heading into stainless steel. The acidity lags (5.5 g/l), while the residual sugar is moderate (6.5 g/l), leaving this feeling weighted down on the palate. Could easily take on bigger proteins like quail.Tasted: 23 May 2017Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
