Tinhorn Creek Oldfield Reserve Cabernet Franc 2014
Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaSmoked branch, cherry, forest berries and mossy sprigs throughout this grippy, medicinal-hued cabernet franc. From 13 year old vines on Black Sage Bench's Diamondback Vineyard, this spent one month on the skins before time in French oak (25 percent new). Youthful and wound now, but with a delicate softness on the tacky-tannin palate, this will relax more with time in bottle, allowing the tannins to unknit and settle.
