Swartland, Coastal Region, South AfricaThis is why South Africa is stunning. This Swartland chenin is a side project of Jacques de Klerk, Radford Dale winemaker, and one of the Winery of Good Hope collective. Old vineyards - 1978 planted, on granite, fermented wild in old oak barrels before resting there for ten months. Honeysuckle, pear, herbal green fig, on an oil-sheen, wax-lined palate seasoned with fine citrus pith to a satisfyingly long finish.
