Mount Abora Saffraan 2015

Swartland, Coastal Region, South AfricaA natural wine producer from Swartland, this is Mount Abora's entry, eminently smashable, cinsault. Honest and likeable, light and peppery, with frisky and fine tannins framing red currants and floral cherry, all seasoned with that fynbos herbal scrub that signals authentic south africa. Light bodied and effortlessly graceful, this is from seven-year-old bush sloping vines, wild fermented on skins and stalks, and matured in older 300 litre French oak barrels for six months before hitting the bottle. Drink (smash) now, slightly chilled, and enjoy.Tasted: 30 May 2017Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
