Herdade da Malhadinha Nova 2006
Alentejo, Central and Southern Portugal, PortugalThis full white is a bland of antão vás, arinto and chardonnay, fermented in new wood (80 French, 20 American) for five months. Now a decade on, and the potent wood still stands alone from this wine, pouring a golden yellow hue. Outside of all that wood, there's a nutty leesiness, honey, and Fino sharpness. Too much wood for all that beautiful Alentejo fruit.Tasted: 11 May 2017Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:CDN | $53.00 | 750ml | estimated price on wine searcher |
