Elgin Vintners Pinot Noir 2013
Elgin, Overberg, South AfricaSo fantastic to finally see some Elgin wines on our market (courtesy Marquis Wine Cellars on Davie.) Elgin Vintners is a partnership of six growers from this coastal, cooler climate region on the Cape. This pinot noir is showing its age now, with dried forest cherry, perfumed raspberry, stewed red currant, dried fruit leather and a warm thrush on the baking spiced finish.
