Chateau d'Esclans Les Clans Rosé 2015

Côtes de Provence, Provence, Sud de France, FrancePale pink-orange, this is a powerful, big, full-bodied, glycerol-lined blend of grenache and rolle (vermentino) that was fermented in new and second year demi-muids (600L) for ten months, with battonage twice weekly. The oak is certainly present, with giant spicy, strident wood overruling the glossy strawberry, raspberry, jammy fruit at this early stage, and one that will stand up to protein-laden foods. This is a luxury rosé and label and one that sends a message.Tasted: 19 May 2017Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
