Chateau Martinolles Vielles Vignes Chardonnay 2015
Limoux, Languedoc, Sud de France, FranceThis Limoux chardonnay is barrel fermented, with some 60 percent going through malolactic fermentation in the barrels. The final mix is barrel aged for nine months in 33 percent new oak and 66 percent two-year-old wood French and American oak. Despite the wood, the wine is dry with a fresh fruity undercurrent and a creamy, nutty finish. Solid effort. Serve with crab, pork roast or whole roasted chicken.Tasted: 29 March 2017Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:BC | $23.99 | 750ml | estimated retail |
