La Spinetta Langhe Nebbiolo 2011
Piedmont, ItalyI’m always impressed by this nebbiolo and its rich open nose laced with licorice, red cherry and strawberry flavours. The attack is round and suave, the palate rich with tannins and fine acidity. Coffee, orange peels and black cherry mark the dry Piemontesi flavours that coat the palate. Long but with balance and still a few grippy tannins to shed. Well made and ready for food.
