Tuscany, ItalyFleshy dark cherry and black plum is supported by worn leather in this Chianti Classico from Castellina in Chianti - Siena. Supple tannins are wood-led and grainy, to a quick, bitter cherry finish. Ten percent of local varieties flush out the 90 percent sangiovese. After the requisite year in oak for the DOCG, this was bottled, rested for two months and released.
