Astrolabe Marlborough Chardonnay 2014

Marlborough, South Island, New ZealandBig, expressive and ripe, with smoked lemon pith and lemon curd brightening a round clove-scented sweet corn and popcorn toasted palate. The heft is veined with stony mineral and tangerine pithiness. Twenty-five percent new oak is used here, though it is handled very well and marries into the dense fruit. Rich and creamy, this Marlborough chardonnay is suited to richer, creamier dishes now.Tasted: 23 January 2017Tasted by: Treve RingPrices: BC 22.50 private wine stores Producer: Astrolabe Wines Ltd.Distributors: Rogers & Company
