Taylor Fladgate Quinta de Vargellas 2002
Douro Valley, Northern Portugal, PortugalBottled in 2004. A light citrus cherry note opens this still youthful, ripe and generously juicy 2002 from Vargellas. Amply sweet on the mid palate, with structured, grippy tannins framing the dense cassis, raisins and wild blackberry notes ably. One to hold, and will hold very well. This is a single quinta port (Vargellas) that is made entirely from one vintage, but quality was not high enough to be classified or blended into the house's Vintage Port.Tasted: 21 December 2016Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:Blend: Touriga Nacional - Touriga FrancaCSPC: 853408UPC: 5013626114094
