Champagne Jean Milan Selection Symphorine Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru Brut 2009
Champagne, FranceCaroline Milan is the 4th generation of the family to direct this estate; it was founded in 1864 by her great-grandfather Jean Milan. Today she controls six hectares of vines averaging 43 years, spread over 42 different parcels, all in the grand cru of Oger. An alluring light reductive note leads into this Grand Cru champagne, with a dough base lightened with toasted brioche, light cream and bright lemon. Driving to the brisk finish, this has ample minerality, carved by chardonnay precision. Lovely finesse in this confident, memorable, rare bottle of 2009.Tasted: 06 December 2016Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Treve RingPrices:BC | $80.00 | 750ml | private wine shops |
