Meyer Family Vineyards Méthode Traditionnelle Extra Brut NV

Okanagan Falls, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaWith fruit off their McLean Creek Road Vineyard in Okanagan Falls, this bottling of their NV Extra Brut is based on 2016 and 2017, and a blend of 80% chardonnay and 20% pinot noir. The fruit was whole cluster pressed and fermented in stainless, with full MLF, before the base wine spent 18-24 months on lees. It went into bottle in summer of 2018 for another 28 months' rest, and was disgorged in summer 2021 with 0 dosage. Ample dough beds baked red apple, lemon curd, toast, all cloaked with an oxidative blanket, which tamps down the fruit. Take this now with a chill.Tasted: 20 January 2022Tasted by: Prices:
