Black Sage Vineyard Zinfandel 2014
Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaRoasted earth, charred meats, candied violet perfume pervades this simple big red, one with a mid-palate of cushy, dense and sweet black fruit. Tannins are chalky and drying, leading to a very short, powdery finish. Full and bold, yes, but not resembling much of zinfandel.
