Paul Jaboulet Aîné Crozes-Hermitage Les Jalets 2011

Crozes Hermitage, Northern Rhone, Rhone Valley, FranceLes Jalets is made from a combination of estate and purchased fruit. The name refers to one of the vineyards in the blend named after the Old French word for pebbles, left behind by the glaciers. Crozes Hermitage is 100 percent syrah, in this case 25-year-old vines, all of which lead to its earthy, meaty and cranberry nose. The attack is round with spicy, earthy black fruit flavours and a touch of smoked meat in the finish. Ready to drink at five years of age and perfect with a pepper steak or a savoury roasted chicken.Tasted: 24 October 2016Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
