Averill Creek Somenos Series Pinot Noir 2014
Cowichan Valley, Vancouver Island, British Columbia, CanadaThis is the premium pinot noir from Cowichan Valley's Averill Creek, and an excellent example of what the grape can achieve on our Wine Islands. Dark, spiced cherries, black plum and wild black raspberries, and forest fill the silky palate of this medium bodied pinot. Bright acidity and cracked black pepper liven the palate, one framed with slightly sticky tannins and lingering with a balsamic, wood note.
