Cháteau Rigaud Faugeres Organic 2012

Faugères, Coteaux du Languedoc, Languedoc, Sud de France, FranceFaugères is a Languedoc appellation built on sandy schist. Château Rigaud is a mix of 55/26/19 syrah, mourvèdre and grenache. The organically-grown grapes sit over a flaky schist soil with southern exposure. The syrah sees 12 months in wood while the rest of the fruit is aged in concrete for an equal length of time. The theme is floral, black fruit with a spicy licorice undercurrent. The texture is silky smooth adding another layer of complexity to this wine. Perfect with grilled lamb.Tasted: 08 September 2016Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
